THE HOME

On the edge of the Deschutes National Forest, minutes from the heart of Bend, this modern high desert residence is a study in restraint: clean lines, warm materials, and light that shifts with the hour. The living spaces rise to the upper floor, so mornings begin above the fairways and evenings end with the sun setting behind the Cascades.

THE KITCHEN

The heart of the house, and its quiet triumph. Quartz counters, custom cabinetry, and a Wolf range anchor a kitchen stocked with the care of a devoted home chef. A Breville espresso machine grinds beans to order beside a Nespresso, a French press, and a row of house syrups for the perfect morning latte. Smith Teas from Portland, a well-edited spice pantry, stemware for wine and martinis, and every tool you might reach for.

THE GREAT ROOM

Sink into a generous new sectional before the gas fireplace while a Vestaboard flips through playful messages overhead. A Scrabble corner glows under its own lamp, and a deep library of board games waits for a rainy afternoon. At the dining table, dinner for eight (or a convivial twelve) gives way to the evening's surprise: lift the top to reveal a full pool table, cues at the ready.

THE TERRACE

Double French doors fold the great room onto a broad deck facing Tetherow's fairways, with the Cascades peeking through the pines. An outdoor sofa, armchairs with ottomans, and a natural gas grill set the scene for long golden-hour cocktails.

THE GARDEN LEVEL

Below, a private courtyard holds a six-person hot tub, professionally cleaned before every arrival, and a fire pit ringed by six Adirondack chairs. A s'mores board awaits, with our compliments.
