The 6 person salt water hot tub is available year round to our guests here. It is professionally cleaned and maintained before each guest stay!

Welcome to our sweet historic bungalow just steps from everything FUN in Bend! This home sits on a quiet street and neighbors are friendly. Kick back and enjoy a beverage on the adirondak chairs!
The main living room offers comfortable seating, a remote-controlled gas fireplace, brochures for things to do around Bend, and a large flat screen smart TV with cable and access to login to any apps you have.
The front bedroom has a queen bed with new memory foam mattress by Tuft and Needle, a bookcase with books and games, and a closet that houses and extra rollaway twin bed for an extra guest (small adult or child)
We added a second full bathroom in 2023 that has high-end, period-specific touches. We offer towels, soaps, and paper goods.
New 6 person salt water hot tub added in 2024 and is professionally cleaned between guests. It overlooks the lush and private backyard.

Who We Are

Your Hosts

Hey There! I'm Meg and I've been blissfully hosting guests in our homes for over 14 years! My family and I live in the most beautiful (and not so secret) town of Bend, Oregon. It is truly an outdoor lover's paradise and a safe place to raise our family. Between the warm community of people, the stunning nature at our backdoor, and the impressive number of events around town, it's no surprise that Bend has become a prime vacation destination.

 

Sojourn Homes was founded on the premise of kindness and compassion: to treat others how we want to be treated, and to HOST others how we would want to be hosted! We refuse to compromise on quality as you'll see in our guest reviews. We've been fortunate enough to host the most wonderful people from all different backgrounds and share our small slice of paradise with them. We have now opened up our business to manage for other STR owners and hope to preserve what makes Bend special. Thank you for supporting local business!

Are you properties pet-friendly?
Our city loves dogs! And most of our properties are dog-friendly. Please check the listing details to confirm. Dog-friendly properties allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs per reservation with a pet fee. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s), any dog-related damage, and agree to not leave their dog(s) incessantly barking. No cats allowed. *Service animals welcome, no fee applies
What is your cancellation policy?
For stays under 30 days: You may receive a 100% refund if you cancel your stay 14 or more days prior to your check in date. If you cancel 7-13 days prior to your check in date, you will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations less than 7 days before check in receives no refund. No refunds outside of our cancellation policy will be honored, even for adverse weather or fire-season related reasons. We highly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to protect your investment.
I'm bringing an infant. Do you offer any baby gear for my stay?
Yes! As parents ourselves, we know how much STUFF is needed when traveling with a baby. For that reason, we offer the following to be set up in the home for you: Pack n' play with flat sheet, highchair, baby monitor, sound machine/night light. Please note that these must be requested in advance through your guest portal and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Are events allowed in your homes?
Typically, no. Most of our homes are in close-knit neighborhoods where loud music and noise is not welcomed. There may be exceptions (with advanced approval) if you are hosting a dinner or small gathering with guests outside of your reservation count. Just please communicate with us so we know what to expect that is outside of the norm! All Guests staying in Bend are required by the city to follow Good Neighbor Guidelines: 1. 24-Hour Contact Information. If at any time you have concerns about your stay or in regards to your neighbors, please call the 24-hour contact number listed in the rental lease agreement or posted in the unit. In the event of an emergency, please call 911. 2. General Respect for Neighbors. Be friendly, courteous, and treat your neighbors like you want to be treated. Respect your neighbors and their property. 3. Noise. Be considerate of the neighborhood and your neighbor’s right to the quiet enjoyment of their home and property, especially after 10 p.m. 4. Maintenance of Property. Be sure to pick up after yourself and keep the property clean, presentable and free of trash. 5. Garbage Disposal. Place trash and recycling containers at the appropriate place and time for pickup. Return trash and recycling containers to the designated location within 12 hours after pickup. Cigarette butts should be properly extinguished and disposed of in the garbage. 6. Parking & Traffic Safety. Refer to the parking diagram posted in the unit and park on-site whenever possible. Do not park on lawns or in a manner which blocks driveways, sidewalks, alleys or mailboxes. Drive slowly through neighborhoods and watch for pedestrians and children playing. 7. Pets. Promptly clean-up after your pets. Prevent excessive and prolonged barking, and keep pets from roaming the neighborhood. Control aggressive pets, and be sure to abide by the local leash laws. Store pet food indoors and in a secure container to reduce the likelihood of unwanted pest problems. 8. Tenant/Guest Responsibility. Approved guests and visitors are expected to follow the Good Neighbor Guidelines. Be sure to read your rental agreement for additional terms and restrictions which may include consequences for violating the Good Neighbor Guidelines.

Meg and Co put so much thought into all the details that make a good Air BNB a great one: smore’s kit for the fire, cornhole, blankets for cool nights in the Adirondack chairs, multiple (large) JBL speakers both inside and out. Made for a very festive holiday weekend! The location is super convenient, both for accessing all the great outdoor activities that Bend has to offer, and also close to restaurants and shops of downtown. Kitchen is very well equipped for meals in, and the house is light, airy, bright, and updated. Hosts were super responsive to DMs. Highly highly recommend. We’ll be back!

This home was the perfect place for my family as we were in Bend for my son’s wedding. There was plenty of room for my three daughters, their spouses, 3 infants, and myself. The location was great, about 15 minutes to wherever we were going in Bend. It also offered a large backyard for the toddlers to play in, complete with a slide and playhouse. There is a big kitchen to make meals in, and I even made my son’s wedding cake here. The washer and dryer came in handy to wash the babies’ clothes and bedding as needed. Finally, Meg does a great job communicating and she responded quickly to all of our questions. It was a wonderful place to stay.

While this place is connected to their home, we found it to be a peaceful place to sleep. Bed is comfortable, shower has good water pressure, it was clean and Meg was very good at communicating with us. It’s a nice neighborhood where you will see deer at different times of the day. We were greeted by four of them upon arrival. We walked to nearby businesses for coffee and breakfast. Meg is upfront (on the listing) that you will need to walk up a long driveway and to the back of the house. You will need to carry your luggage most of the way as there is gravel and mulch. Too difficult to roll a suitcase back there. We didn’t have any trouble as we had small suitcases and backpacks. We enjoyed our stay.

The house is located a short drive from downtown Bend and we were able to both drive and use Ubers to get to town easily. The house is immaculate and well appointed with large bedrooms throughout. The house has a large green grass area where we were able to play cornhole and other lawn games which the host provides and made for some fun afternoons. Highly recommend this house!

I had to contact them twice for basic things. The oven wouldn't turn on and the kitchen sink needed a new filter or something. It sounded like they need to figure out a breaker issue for the oven. Guests shouldn't have to mess with breaker panels. They were very responsive but definitively didn't want to have to deal with this while on vacation.

Nestled in a historical neighborhood within easy walking distance to riverfront trails, downtown and tons of restaurants we loved the mix of modern upgrades (particularly the bathrooms) while maintaining the original character of the home. The outside of the property has great curb appeal and the landscape is well maintained - making it easy to enjoy the outdoor spaces. The hot tub was clean and a nice treat as it cooled in the evenings. We always had easy parking right in front of the house. We cooked quite a bit and found the kitchen to be very functional, clean and well stocked with quality cookware, spices and more. Beds were also very comfortable. Additional features like Roku TVs, puzzles, board games and darts were fun for entertainment. Meg and her team communicated proactively throughout our stay and ensured everything met our expectations. We look forward to returning one day!

Our girls group of 6 greatly enjoyed our weekend in this rental. The house was clean, well stocked, and the host was very helpful. We spent most of our time relaxing in the backyard, which had plenty of seating, a fire pit, bbq, cornhole and a speaker. There is a bit of road noise, but otherwise it was peaceful. A deer crossed through the backyard one morning. The beds were comfortable and the showers were hot and had great water pressure. The bedrooms are down a hallway from the living spaces, which gave nice noise separation. Location was 25 min from Redmond, an easy 10 min from Bend and also not far from Sunriver. Had a lovely, flat bike ride in Sunriver near the river. Host provided great recommendations around Bend, if you’re not familiar with the area. Would definitely stay again!

We travelled to Bend for my brothers bachelor party. There were 6 of us total, and the home fit us all.. and then some! If you’re looking to spend time near old bend and enjoy the many restaurants and bars, outdoor activities, and poppin’ night life, This is the location for you. We were able to walk just about anywhere, but if you did bring a car there is a private garage to park. Very spacious I might add, we had a 7 seater SUV and it fit fine. Meg and her team were very communicative throughout the whole process - from scheduling our trip, to our arrival, and departure. Their response time said ~30mins, but it felt much faster. It looks like they put a lot of resources in making our stay as comfortable and fun as possible. We really appreciated the hospitality and would definitely book with them again in the future. Customer service has been declining recently but they really provided stellar service!!

The loft was exactly as described and very comfortable. Although compact, it’s thoughtfully designed with plenty of storage for a short stay. The location is excellent—just a short walk to lots of things to do, especially the Old Mill District. There are also several great restaurants along SW Bond Street worth checking out. The only issue we encountered was parking. We were instructed to park along SW Bluff Dr., which we did, but on our second night we received a notice from the city warning that our car could be towed if we parked there overnight again. That added a lot of stress to our visit. We reached out to Megan to explain the situation, and she kindly allowed us to park in the driveway for two nights. On our final night (a Saturday), we parked on the street again and had no problems. Overall, the parking situation is the one drawback to staying here, which is unfortunate because it’s outside the host’s control. Everything else about the loft and the location was great.

Upon arrival, there was a strong, foul odor in the hallway. The host quickly sent a plumber to clear a rotting blockage, but the repair required us to vacate the home for an entire day. We also noticed the dishwasher doesn't drain properly, leading to a lingering smell. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the hot tub as the water smelled like a pond and it was surrounded by swarms of bees. Inside, the beds were ok, and the kitchen is minimally stocked. We also found several dirty dishes in the cupboards. Bathrooms are clean, however no hairdryer is provided. We truly appreciated the host’s quick communication and effort to fix the plumbing emergency, but between the repair downtime and the unusable amenities, it wasn't the relaxing stay we had hoped for. We had a wonderful time during our long weekend stay. The house was clean and exactly as described. The bedrooms were very comfortable and accommodated all 8 guests without any issues. Location was perfect as we were less than 5 mins by car and 10-15 minutes walking to coffee shops and other amenities. I would not hesitate to rebook or recommend to someone else.

The house was a 2 minute walk to the Old Mill District. House was well appointed. Plus a sauna and cold plunge pool, great for refreshing after a hard day skiing at Mt. Bachelor. Lots of great restaurants and brew pubs in easy walking distance.

My family and I loved staying at The Sunstone! From the well-equipped chefs kitchen, to the luxurious sauna and hot tub, this immediately become our favorite Airbnb stay, hands down. We especially appreciated how family-friendly the hosts were. They had everything we needed for our baby and toddler, including cribs, highchair, utensils, and books. As parents, we always look for somewhere family-friendly to stay and it’s so hard to find anything that provides more than the bare minimum. For that reason alone, I’d recommend this Airbnb to all of our family and friends. I think we will have to come back this summer to enjoy everything that Sunriver offers!

We had such an amazing stay at this beautiful Caldera Springs home. The moment we walked in, we were struck by the stunning vaulted ceilings and open layout. The massive kitchen was a dream to use when cooking for the family, especially with the Wolf range, if you know you know. The location is just as impressive as the home itself. The property backs up to gorgeous woods with seemingly endless trails, perfect for morning walks and exploring the area. After a day outside, relaxing in the private sauna and the saltwater hot tub was absolutely perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better base for our time in Sunriver. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a high-end, relaxing getaway. We'll be back soon!
