Who We Are

Your Hosts

Hey There! I'm Meg and I've been blissfully hosting guests in our homes for over 13 years! My family and I live in the most beautiful (and not so secret) town of Bend, Oregon. It is truly an outdoor lover's paradise and a safe place to raise our family. Between the warm community of people, the stunning nature at our backdoor, and the impressive number of events around town, it's no surprise that Bend has become a prime vacation destination.

 

Sojourn Homes was founded on the premise of kindness and compassion: to treat others how we want to be treated, and to HOST others how we would want to be hosted! We refuse to compromise on quality as you'll see in our guest reviews. We've been fortunate enough to host the most wonderful people from all different backgrounds and share our small slice of paradise with them. We have now opened up our business to manage for other STR owners and hope to preserve what makes Bend special. Thank you for supporting local business!

Are you properties pet-friendly?
Our city loves dogs! And most of our properties are dog-friendly. Please check the listing details to confirm. Dog-friendly properties allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs per reservation with a pet fee. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s), any dog-related damage, and agree to not leave their dog(s) incessantly barking. No cats allowed. *Service animals welcome, no fee applies
What is your cancellation policy?
You may receive a 100% refund if you cancel your stay 14 or more days prior to your check in date. If you cancel 7-13 days prior to your check in date, you will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations less than 7 days before check in receives no refund. No refunds outside of our cancellation policy will be honored, even for adverse weather or fire-season related reasons. We highly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to protect your investment.
I'm bringing an infant. Do you offer any baby gear for my stay?
Yes! As parents ourselves, we know how much STUFF is needed when traveling with a baby. For that reason, we offer the following to be set up in the home for you, free of charge: Pack n' play with flat sheet, highchair, baby monitor, sound machine/night light. Please note that these must be requested in advance and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Are events allowed in your homes?
Typically, no. Most of our homes are in close-knit neighborhoods where loud music and noise is not welcomed. There may be exceptions (with advanced approval) if you are hosting a dinner or small gathering with guests outside of your reservation count. Just please communicate with us so we know what to expect that is outside of the norm!

Stayed with a group of 5 women for a conference in the area - we absolutely loved our stay here! Perfect distance from everything, yet set apart in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood. The home itself was decorated beautifully, so clean, and so many helpful amenities. Absolutely LOVED the saltwater hot tub! We booked Meg’s place for Labor Day weekend 2024. The house was perfect for the 7 adults and 1 baby that we had with us. It is in such a good location. So many places within a 10 min walk or a 2 min drive. The house was the most well stocked Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen had every thing you would need and there was all the baby stuff we needed there too. The living spaces were very cozy and we loved the backyard and the front patio. Meg was very responsive and so nice. We are very thankful she let us stay here. A trip we won’t forget!

We loved our stay here! The house and yard are gorgeous and well-kept. Meg was responsive for the one small issue we had. It was resolved easily. We enjoyed nightly walks in the neighborhood, and found it easy to get around Bend with this house as our starting point. The backyard fire pit, eating area and hot tub are fabulous and we spent a lot of time out there. We definitely plan to return on future trips to Bend!

Meg was a fantastic host -- we got stuck in Bend with a car issue and needed a place to stay at the last minute, she was incredibly responsive and accommodating -- from getting us quickly booked to helping with a later check out. The home itself is beautiful and full of everything you need for comfort and we especially appreciated the private driveway that we could pull our truck into and not have to worry about unpacking it overnight. A great place for a group with lots of bedrooms and living areas as well as outdoor entertaining. Highly recommended!

This was the perfect family getaway, close to tons of outdoor activities but still only a short 5 min drive to Old Mill and Downtown. We fully took advantage of being on Haul trail and close to Mt. Bachelor (this would be an amazing place to stay during ski season!) We enjoyed walks and bike rides every day with the dog and kids while I enjoyed easy river access and got a handful of SUP paddles in as well as some great runs. We had a fun night out for a concert at Hayden Homes Amphitheater which is minutes away. I really can’t say enough about the accessibility of this place! The house is great—enough space to accommodate extended family while not feeling cramped. The game room, hot tub, and family suite was a hit with both adults and kids. The space was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and aesthetically well designed. The manager Meg, made sure to think of everything. We will be back!

As good as it gets… there’s a noticeable difference in Airbnb hosts that treat the properties like their own homes, as the hosts here so clearly do. Well stocked, cozy, spotlessly clean, all the things you want. You absolutely cannot beat the location for walkability to the central core of Bend (including the amphitheater) - the only struggle is whether to visit all the breweries or drink beer on the porch! 😁 Can’t go wrong either way… can’t wait to come back!

This location can’t be beat. Walking distance to restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, the river, the amphitheater, downtown…you can’t beat it. We walked and rode our bikes everywhere in Bend. The yard is perfect - there is room to relax in both the front and the back which is a plus during the hot summer months when seeking shade. We will be back!

The outdoor spaces at the home were our favorite - we were able to dine al fresco, sip wine on the front patio area and use the hot tub. Meg’s place was exceptional, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. The landscaping was beautiful, the backyard nicely fenced in for our dog and very private. We appreciated all of the amenities in the home, every cooking utensil and spice we needed was provided. I loved the basement since I am an early riser and didn’t want to disturb the others; I could go downstairs and make my coffee and hang out watching TV or doing laundry without worrying about disturbing anyone. Nice closets, plenty of hangars which is a bonus compared to other places. It was a quick walk to Jackson’s Corner for eats, Market of Choice for groceries, Crux Brewery for beers and downtown Bend and Old Mill District were only a short walk away. The bungalow was spotless and plenty of linens were provided. I would not hesitate to recommend Meg’s place if you are looking for a quiet, walkable home in Bend in a sweet neighborhood.

We really enjoyed our stay at Meg’s place. We were pleasantly surprised at how many restaurants we could walk to from this location. Previously, we’ve stayed at places across the river but, after staying here, we felt that this location is just as good for walking to restaurants. Also, we enjoyed walking to the Newport market for groceries. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in. Our adult son stayed in the detached house which he enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely LOVED Meg's place. We showed up just before a huge snow storm and the place was the perfect, cozy place to weather the storm. VERY close to the grocery store and walkable to downtown even in all the snow. She even had someone shovel the walk for us. In an amazing location, the house was clean and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!
